Nigerian football star Asisat Oshoala and Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy have emerged among six international ambassadors headlining SportyBet’s inaugural Crash Games World Championship, a 21-day competition offering nearly $100,000 in prizes.
The championship, which began on October 14, 2026, brings together players from participating markets across Africa and Mexico, combining celebrity-led teams with an individual global leaderboard.
The two Nigerian stars will be joined by American DJ and music producer DJ Khaled, South African rugby star Cheslin Kolbe, former South African international footballer Benni McCarthy and Ivorian footballer Yan Diomande.
The competition allows participants to select one of the six ambassadors to represent, with their qualifying gameplay contributing to both individual rankings and their chosen team’s overall score.
The six teams are Team Burna, Team Oshoala, Team Khaled, Team Kolbe, Team Benni and Team Diomande.
According to details published by SportyBet, the championship runs until November 3, with participants earning experience points through successful cashouts in eligible crash games.
The points determine their positions on the leaderboard and help their selected teams compete for overall honors.
Under the prize structure ,the overall winner will receive $5,000 in cash, a championship ring valued at $1,500 and a T-shirt signed by all six ambassadors.
The second- and third-place finishers will each receive $2,500 and a signed T-shirt, while players ranked between fourth and 10th will receive $1,000 each alongside signed merchandise.
Additional rewards, including free bets and exclusive merchandise, will be distributed among other qualifying participants.
The competition is expected to reward 5,000 players, with final results subject to verification after the championship closes.
Oshoala’s involvement adds a prominent African women’s football figure to the campaign.
The Super Falcons star has established herself as one of Nigeria’s best-known football exports, while Burna Boy’s international music profile brings further entertainment appeal to the tournament.
Their participation also reflects the growing intersection between sports, music and digital gaming promotions, as brands seek to engage audiences through recognisable personalities and interactive competitions.
However, the tournament’s format requires participants to engage with eligible real-money crash games to earn qualifying points. As with other betting products, outcomes can involve financial losses, and participation should be approached cautiously.
SportyBet says players can monitor their individual positions and team contributions during the championship, with prizes awarded after the final standings have been verified.
With Nigerian entertainment and sporting talent represented on the international stage, the competition gives fans an opportunity to rally behind their preferred ambassadors while players compete for a share of the advertised rewards.
