Lamine Yamal’s extraordinary rise from Barcelona wonderkid to one of the most valuable footballers on the planet has reached another remarkable milestone, with the Spanish international now valued at €220 million by Transfermarkt.

The 19-year-old Barcelona winger sits at the summit of the latest market-value rankings, sharing the top position with Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland, who is also valued at €220 million.

The figures underline the extraordinary financial status Yamal has achieved at an age when many players are only beginning to establish themselves at the highest level.

Yamal’s valuation represents more than a reflection of his technical ability.

His explosive pace, close control, creativity and ability to influence major matches have made him one of the most coveted young players in world football.

His performances for both Barcelona and Spain have further strengthened his reputation.

The latest assessment comes after an impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign, during which Yamal has continued to produce goals and assists while carrying enormous expectations at club and international level.

Behind the leading pair is Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé, whose market value stands at €200 million.

The French forward remains one of football’s most commercially powerful and technically gifted players, although Yamal’s rapid rise means the younger Barcelona star has now matched the valuation of the game’s most established superstars.

Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise occupies fourth position at €180 million, following another significant increase in his valuation.

The French international has emerged as one of the game’s most influential attacking players and is now firmly established among Europe’s financial elite.

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham follows at €160 million, maintaining his position among football’s most valuable midfielders.

Barcelona’s Pedri, meanwhile, is valued at approximately €150 million, giving the Catalan giants two players among the world’s most expensive footballing assets.

The next group includes some of Europe’s brightest stars. Vinícius Júnior, João Neves, Vitinha and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are each valued at around €140 million, demonstrating the extraordinary depth of elite talent currently competing for supremacy in the global transfer market.

The €220 million valuation also places Yamal and Haaland in a rare historical category.

Transfermarkt’s post-2026 World Cup update described the pair as the first players to reach that valuation, highlighting how dramatically football’s financial landscape has changed.

For Barcelona, Yamal’s valuation represents an enormous sporting and financial asset.

For the wider football world, however, it is perhaps an even stronger indication that a new generation is taking control of the game’s global spotlight.

At only 19, Yamal is no longer simply regarded as football’s next big thing.

At €220 million, he has become one of the biggest names in football’s present.
