US President Donald Trump has announced plans to declassify government documents on extraterrestrial life and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).

The move follows recent remarks by former President Barack Obama, who hinted at the possible existence of UFOs, sparking a global media frenzy.

Trump Uses Truth Social to Announce Plan

Trump took to his Truth Social platform, stating he would direct the Secretary of Defense and other relevant agencies to identify and release classified documents related to aliens, extraterrestrial life, and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).

“Given the tremendous interest shown,” Trump wrote, “I will instruct the Secretary of Defence and other relevant Departments and Agencies to begin the process of identifying and releasing government documents related to alien and extraterrestrial life… God bless America!”

Obama’s UFO Remarks Ignite Speculation

The recent wave of speculation began when Barack Obama, in an interview with podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen, said about UFOs:

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them, and they’re not being kept in Area 51. There’s no underground facility.”

These comments fueled renewed global interest in extraterrestrial life, prompting widespread media coverage and online debate.

Trump Criticizes Obama Over Classified Information

Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump criticized Obama’s comments, saying:

“Well, he gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake.”

Trump added that he has no personal opinion on the reality of UFOs but is prepared to release classified documents to clarify the situation.
